Kodachrome Basin State Park and Bryce Canyon

Today we took the short drive to Bryce Canyon, we are staying right outside the park because there are so many other attractions in this area. We took a day trip to Kodachrome Basin State Park to see the unique rock formations while we were there we took a hike called the Angel's Palace. The weather here is a lot cooler because of the altitude. The park is pretty and has lot of  shorter hiking trails and a very nice campground. We than took the Moss Cave hiking trail which is closer to Bryce, and actually part of the National Park, this was a very pretty trail leading to a moss filled water dripping cave and had a turn off to a beautiful waterfall.

We are staying at the Bryce Canyon Pines Campground, we needed electricity because it can still get down below freezing at night, tomorrow we will be in Bryce and hike some of the many trails they offer.

Happy Birthday, Jen hope you had a great day.

  1. Bryce Canyon contains unique geological structures called hoodoos, formed from wind, water, and ice erosion.
